





Jon has directed a range of projects including TV Commercials, broadcast channel branding and promotion, direct to client advertising spots and corporate films. He graduated from Goldsmiths in 1987 and joined Glaxo Pharmaceuticals TV unit where he produced / directed sales, marketing and PR programmes, liasing directly with product managers and becoming involved in product strategies, generating concepts for film/video, and producing the projects.
From 1990 Jon had contracts with the BBC and Carlton TV and from 1993 Channel 4 Television as a Promotions Producer / Director. At the BBC he helped launch World Service TV, developing the initial branding and on-screen identity. At Carlton he won Promax Golds for Best in-House News Promotion and for the Channel's Spring 1994 launch. Whilst at Channel 4 he was part of the in-house team that rebranded the Channel, winning another Promax Gold for Best Channel Identity.
Throughout this period Jon became fully conversant in liasing with commissioning editors, programme producers, writers, marketing directors and the press. He launched and promoted many individual shows working with different TV personalities from Chris Evans to Jennifer Anniston from Friends. At Channel 4 he won further Gold Promax awards including his work on 'Don't Forget Your Toothbrush' and 'The Clive Anderson Show'.
Since 1997 Jon has directed many TV commercials and sponsorship idents for clients such as Tizer, Honda, Morrisons, British Telecom, Royal Bank of Scotland, Andrex, The Scottish Executive, Scottish Beef, Glenmorangie and most recently Princes Tuna.
He has also directed many short form interstitials for broadcasters, including Sky One, ITV2 Nickelodeon, Discovery and MTV. In 2006 Jon was nominated for a BAFTA in the Children's short form programming category.
